There’s always someone who quietly remembers your birthday. The most frequent words they say are never fancy love lines, but simple reminders: Are you eating well? Are you tired from work? Do take good care of yourself. You might think these are ordinary nagging, yet every word is hidden concern deep in their heart.

May 10th is their festival. The tenderest name in the world is — Mother.

How long has it been since you properly greeted your mother? How long since you truly cared about her health? She’s used to hiding grievances and discomfort, not wanting to worry you. But medical diagnoses never lie.

Women’s health can never ignore cervical cancer. Its most fortunate yet terrifying trait: extremely slow progression. From persistent high-risk HPV infection to lesions and cervical cancer, it takes an average of 5–10 years, or even longer.

Heaven has given us ample time. With regular screening and timely intervention, canceration can be completely blocked — there’s no need to wait until it develops into cancer.

Yet most people fail at the first step. Cervical cancer has almost no early symptoms. Many assume “no discomfort means no need for check-ups.” By the time irregular bleeding, post-coital contact bleeding, or abnormal malodorous discharge appear, the best window for early intervention is often missed.

A set of striking data should alert every woman:

According to WHO/IARC GLOBOCAN 2022:

✅ New cervical cancer cases in China annually: 150,659, accounting for nearly 1/4 of the global total

✅ Annual cervical cancer deaths in China: 55,694

✅ 98% of cervical cancers are caused by persistent high-risk HPV infection

People’s Daily Health also reported: The lifetime risk of HPV infection for women is approximately 80%. HPV is common, but canceration is preventable. Don’t judge health by feelings. Sometimes your mother needs your protection too.

The National Health Commission’s Comprehensive Cervical Cancer Prevention and Control Implementation Plan, the Chinese Medical Association Obstetrics and Gynecology Society’s Guidelines for Cervical Cancer Screening and Diagnosis, and the WHO Global Cervical Cancer Elimination Strategy all clearly confirm: regular screening is the core to blocking cervical cancer and achieving early prevention and treatment. However, multiple challenges remain, hindering prevention and control:

  1. Public Awareness and Behavioral Dilemmas

Insufficient popularization of women’s health knowledge; HPV infection is mostly asymptomatic but prevalent. Privacy anxiety and stigma deter many from seeking medical care. Misconceptions add risks: confusion about symptoms, blind excessive cleaning, and unauthorized medication worsen infection and lesions.

  1. Traditional Technical and Service Shortcomings

Current screening processes are cumbersome and time-consuming; grassroots diagnostic capacity is insufficient with uneven quality control. Long turnaround from sampling to results leads to low compliance. Early lesions are easily missed; by the time bleeding or abnormal discharge occurs, the golden intervention period is often gone.

A breakthrough requires more efficient and convenient innovative solutions.

GenDx empowers women’s health with cutting-edge technology: integrating proprietary ERA Enzymatic Isothermal Amplification Technology, GENEYE® Platform, and microfluidic technology to break through traditional bottlenecks:

  • Rapid & Precise: Isothermal amplification at 37–42°C,      results in 20 minutes; high sensitivity and specificity

  • Convenient & Inclusive: No complex thermal cycling      equipment; adaptable for grassroots and on-site scenarios, lowering      screening barriers

  • Simple & Efficient: Microfluidic integrated workflow      reduces manual errors; supports simultaneous detection of multiple HPV      subtypes

Breaking barriers with technology, guarding tenderness with speed. Injecting new momentum into research on female reproductive tract infections, providing more accessible and reliable Chinese innovative solutions for early cervical cancer screening, clinical diagnosis and treatment, and public health prevention and control, helping achieve the goal of cervical cancer elimination at an early date.

Validated by a research team from Huazhong University of Science and Technology published in ACS Nano titled Deep Learning-Enhanced Hand-Driven Spatial Encoding Microfluidics for Multiplexed Molecular Testing at Home: 100% specificity for 27 HPV subtypes; 98.57% accuracy in 140 clinical samples; 100% sustained specificity across four HPV subtype tests (560 samples total).

2. High Sensitivity

Detection limit of 1×10^-16 M for HPV 6/11, 1×10^-18 M for HPV 16/18; 2 million times more sensitive than non-amplified detection.

3. Usage Advantages

GenDx test kits paired with the GENEYE® platform require no professional laboratory personnel, zero learning curve, and only 1–5 minutes of hands-on time. 10 untrained volunteers achieved 100% operation success rate; liquid transfer efficiency >95%, CV <5%.

Clinical validation shows the MACRO system achieved 98.57% accuracy in 560 tests (4 HPV subtypes × 140 clinical samples), with an AUC of 0.9636, showing high consistency with the gold standard.

4. Summary

The ERA basic amplification reagents and Cas12a protein used in the study are produced by Suzhou GenDx Technology Co., Ltd. Featuring GenDx’s innovative Enzymatic Isothermal Amplification Technology — ERA Super Amplification — it eliminates the complex thermal cycling of traditional PCR and operates at a constant 37–42°C. It detects 20 HPV subtypes in one run, covering all high- and low-risk types, with results in just 20 minutes.

As Mother’s Day arrives, don’t hold back your love. Say: “I love you, Mom.”
